Propane is intermittent: best options are in Fort Bragg (10 mi north) at AmeriGas or U-Haul. Diesel is similarly limited; plan Ukiah (35 mi east via CA-253) for serious fuel-ups. Mendocino's weather is consistent fog through summer (the village often sits above the fog layer while Fort Bragg below sits inside it) and atmospheric-river storms in winter.
