Every hub is a base with a payoff: pick up a rig in Miami and drive the Overseas Highway to the Keys; pick up in Moab and loop Utah’s five national parks. Below, each base in turn — the trip it sets up, when to go, and the drive times that matter. Every hub page maps the pickup areas and the rig classes that fit the terrain.
Florida
Miami — the Keys run
The Overseas Highway is the payoff: three hours south and you're on the causeway, open water the rest of the way to Key West with Bahia Honda's beaches en route. Turn west instead and the Everglades are ninety minutes out. Warm, flat, and forgiving — one of the easiest first-RV-trip bases in the country.

Lake Tahoe — two seasons, one lake
The lake sits on the California-Nevada line, and the trip changes with the calendar — Truckee River rafting and Emerald Bay in summer, Heavenly and Northstar once the snow lands. Pick up on either shore: Tahoe City for west-shore beaches, Stateline for South Lake ski.

Utah
Moab — the five-park circuit
One base for Arches, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, Bryce Canyon, and Zion — or trade pavement for slickrock on Hell's Revenge. Aim for spring or fall: summer brings heat and flash-flood risk in the slot canyons, and the hub page carries the safety notes.

North Carolina
Outer Banks — sand under the tires
From a Manteo or Nags Head base you can drive onto the sand at Cape Hatteras with a 4×4 permit, find the Corolla wild horses where the paved road ends, and run the lighthouse loop — Bodie, Hatteras, Currituck, then the ferry out to Ocracoke.

Aspen-Denver — the high country
Two doors into the Rockies: Denver for I-70 and the ski corridor, Aspen for immediate alpine access. Summer means Maroon Bells and Trail Ridge Road; winter runs Vail to Telluride. Check your rig's high-altitude guidance before committing to the passes.
