About PickRV
Who we are, and how PickRV works.
Live and operating across all 50 states — every host is personally reviewed before a listing goes live. Here's what's true today.
A letter from PickRV
Why PickRV exists at all
PickRV is a Miami-built RV rental marketplace live across all 50 states. Every host is personally reviewed before a listing goes live, and every number we publish matches what hosts and renters see in their dashboards. Below is what is actually true today.
PickRV was built in Miami, Florida, after a close look at the existing RV-rental options. The conclusion was simple: too much of the category runs on opacity — uncertain handoffs, mid-checkout fees, vague insurance descriptions. We wanted a marketplace that publishes the actual numbers and the actual rules, and hands control back to the people who own the rigs.
Every message that arrives at support@pickrv.com is read by our team — no phone tree, no ticket queue to get past before you reach a real person. The writing on this site is our own, too, not outsourced.
We're not strangers to this category. We've seen where the incumbents leak — most often at the handoff, the insurance disclosure, and the dispute flow — and PickRV is the version built to fix those first, before scaling.
The category deserves a marketplace willing to publish the actual numbers and the actual rules.

The record
What is true today
Short and checkable — every entry below is something we can prove today. Nothing aspirational, nothing borrowed.
PickRV LLC
A Florida company, based in Miami
PickRV LLC is independently operated — no venture capital and no outside firm behind it. Just a team building a marketplace we want to use ourselves.
Live today
Open across all 50 states
Owners list, renters book, and every host is personally reviewed before a listing goes live.
Standing rule
Every host is verified
Identity through Stripe Identity, current vehicle registration, commercial RV insurance, and Stripe Connect KYC — all before a single booking.
Transparent
The numbers match everywhere
Commission, service fee, and any coverage are shown upfront — and they're the same numbers hosts and renters see at checkout and in their dashboards.
Every figure we publish — commission, fees, coverage — is the same number hosts and renters see in their own dashboards.
Mission & values
What we stand for
PickRV exists to be the marketplace where renters and hosts can read the truth about what is about to happen to them — the price, the rig, the rules, the carrier, the cancellation window, the host's track record — before any money moves.
The principles below are the ones we have committed to in writing — Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Insurance Disclosure, and Data Rights — not slogans.
Honest scale
We are a live marketplace operating today, onboarding hand-vetted hosts across all 50 states. Our public commission and fee figures are the same numbers our hosts see in their dashboards.
Published economics
You set your base price and keep 100% of it — PickRV adds a 15% markup on top to form the listed price. Renters pay a transparent 10% service fee at checkout, plus state tax. The listed nightly rate is stable and all-in — the 10% renter service fee and tax are shown transparently at checkout, with no drip pricing.
Bring your own coverage
PickRV does not sell or offer insurance coverage. Renters arrange their own coverage; hosts may carry their own commercial policy. PickRV is not an insurer.
Hand-vetted hosts
Every host on PickRV is onboarded by hand. PickRV requires identity verification (via Stripe Identity), current vehicle registration, valid commercial RV insurance, and Stripe Connect KYC. PickRV does not perform mechanical inspection of vehicles.
Deliberate growth
We grow deliberately: hand-vetted hosts, simple cancellation rules, and direct support from the founder — in every state we operate in. Booking, payout, and dispute resolution get proven end-to-end before anything else gets louder.
No investor stake yet
PickRV has not raised institutional venture capital and is not affiliated with any venture firm. We do not borrow credibility from named investors we do not have. This page will be updated truthfully if that changes.
The difference
What is different about PickRV
Three concrete differences vs the incumbents — published, not implied.
Renter pays
A stable all-in nightly rate + a transparent 10% service fee + standard taxes. Shown openly at checkout, no drip pricing.
Bring your own coverage
PickRV does not sell or offer insurance coverage. Renters arrange their own coverage; hosts may carry their own commercial policy. PickRV is not an insurer.
48-hour free cancellation
Plain-English cancellation window. Refund completion typically within four business days through Stripe. The terms are in the Terms of Service, not hidden in a help article.
Host program
A welcome, in writing
The hosts who put their rigs on PickRV early are the ones a marketplace is built on — working owners who listed before the brand had a national footprint. Their early-host badge is permanent: earned by showing up, never bought, never revoked. Local owners are listing across the country right now, and every one of them keeps 100% of the price they set.

Cultural respect commitment
PickRV's editorial output — stories, courses, and the Insider newsletter — covers travelers across communities. We do not exoticize, we do not invent traveler profiles, and we do not use language that flattens a family into a stereotype. Where a piece is illustrative (a composite plan, not a real renter), the piece declares it at the top.
The full standard is documented on the editorial standards page. If you find a piece that misses, write to support@pickrv.com.
Frequently asked, honestly answered.
Every numeric value below is sourced from our canonical brand constants and economics doc. If a number changes on the marketplace, it changes here first.

A footnote on the name — R V means more than one thing, on purpose
The two letters at the end of PickRV are not just "Recreational Vehicle." The acronym is a multi-meaning umbrella covering every rental category on the marketplace.
- Rental Vehicle — anything you rent
- The broadest meaning. Cars, vans, boats, off-road UTVs, motorhomes, towables, classic restorations — every rig on PickRV is a Rental Vehicle. See the catalogue.
- Rent Vacation — any trip-based rental
- The vacation-framing meaning. Houseboats, camper vans, vintage Airstreams, multi-night Class A motorhomes — the rig is the trip, not just the transport. See vacation framings.
- Recreational Vehicle — the legal NHTSA classification
- The technical meaning. The NHTSA defines a Recreational Vehicle (Class A, B, or C motorhome) as a self-propelled vehicle with permanent living quarters. PickRV's motorhome catalogue meets this definition.
- Route Vehicle — the rig that opens the trail
- The off-pavement meaning. UTVs, ATVs, side-by-sides, and trail-rated Jeeps are Route Vehicles — purpose-built for the routes paved-road rentals cannot reach. See off-road rentals.
The multi-meaning umbrella is deliberate. The R V two-letter anchor lets us add categories (boats, cars, vans, off-road) without renaming the brand every time. PickRV stays PickRV whether you are renting an Airstream for a coast trip or a side-by-side for a Moab weekend.
