How does the markup work?
You keep 100% of the base price you set — PickRV's 15% markup is added on top of it to form the listed price renters see, never taken out of it. Partner hosts carry a 10% markup instead, permanently: by invitation from our team, or automatically once you have 3+ active listings. Renters pay their own separate 10% service fee at checkout; it never touches your base. Every booking is itemized before anyone pays. You set the base price you want to receive, and PickRV's 15% markup is added on top to form the listed price renters see. For example, set a $200/night base and the listed price becomes $230 (your $200 base, which you keep in full, plus the 15% markup). Renters pay a separate transparent 10% service fee at checkout, plus state tax.
Is there a subscription or monthly plan?
No. There are no Starter / Pro / Enterprise plans and no monthly fee. Every host gets the same tools; the only thing that varies is the markup rate — 15% standard, 10% for partner hosts.
Who pays the 10% partner rate?
The partner rate comes either with a personal invitation from our team, or automatically once you have 3 or more active listings. Partner hosts carry a 10% markup instead of the standard 15% — for as long as they host with us, with no end date. The rule is the same for everyone: reach 3 active listings and the rate applies automatically, whether or not we ever spoke to you. Your take-home never changes with it — the partner rate lowers the markup PickRV adds on top, so your listed price gets sharper while you still keep 100% of the base you set.
Does identity verification change my rate?
No. Verification is a trust badge shown to renters — it has no effect on your markup, your payout, or your listed price.
Is there a contract or commitment?
No contracts and no commitment. List or delist any time.
Do I need insurance to host on PickRV?
Yes — but obtain it from a licensed insurer, not from PickRV. PickRV does not sell coverage — bring your own; we'll walk through options with you during onboarding. As a host, you must carry your own COMMERCIAL RV policy. IMPORTANT: virtually every personal RV insurance policy EXCLUDES commercial rental use — the moment a renter pays you, personal-use coverage typically voids on most carriers. Do not rely on a personal policy. Obtain a commercial RV policy from a licensed insurer before listing. See /insurance for guidance.
