When to come
Best time is late November through April: winter and early spring bring dry, mild weather (60–80°F) and far fewer mosquitoes.
Summer is hot and humid, and the official hurricane season runs June 1 to November 30 — plan around it and watch forecasts.
For visitors from abroad: distances are long but roads are flat and easy, so start with the Gulf coast or the Keys. Afternoon thunderstorms in summer are normal and usually brief.

How to think about your trip
Classic 7-day Florida loop: Miami → Key Largo → Marathon → Key West → return via Everglades (Shark Valley airboat) → Naples → Sanibel Island.
