Key Biscayne's southern tip — a 10-minute drive from downtown Miami across the Rickenbacker Causeway — holds the 1825 Cape Florida Lighthouse, the oldest standing structure in Miami-Dade County. The park is day-use only, no developed campground, no RV overnight inventory at all. Rigs of any length can use the daytime parking lots but the entrance station limits very large Class A motorhomes when summer beach attendance peaks. RV staging for Miami's southern beach corridor routes to Larry & Penny Thompson Park (Miami-Dade County, 240 sites with full hookups), the John Pennekamp Coral Reef SP in Key Largo, or Long Pine Key in Everglades NP further west. The lighthouse keeper's quarters and the No Name Harbor seawall are the two anchor stops, with the boat ramp at Cape Florida the only east-side Miami launch.
