Six Pillars of Safety
Identity Verification
Every renter and host must verify their identity with government-issued ID and selfie verification before transacting on PickRV.
Vehicle Inspections
Hosts certify each vehicle against PickRV's 50-point checklist covering mechanical, safety, electrical, and living systems. PickRV does not itself mechanically inspect vehicles. Pre-trip and post-trip photos protect both parties.
Coverage, Your Call
PickRV does not sell coverage. Your trip runs on your own policy where it covers rental use, or the host's own commercial policy — agreed between you before pickup. PickRV is not an insurer.
Roadside assistance
Where the host's own policy or membership includes roadside coverage, the activation number is printed in your booking confirmation. PickRV does not operate its own roadside network.
Secure Payments
All payments processed through Stripe (PCI DSS Level 1). Funds held in escrow until trip completion. No cash transactions — which sharply reduces fraud exposure.
Damage Protection
Security deposits, timestamped pre/post-trip photo inspections, and a structured dispute resolution process ensure fair outcomes for everyone.
How Verification Works
Every user goes through a 4-step verification process before they can book or list a vehicle.
Create your account
Sign up with your email and phone number. We send a verification code to confirm both.
Identity verification
Upload a government-issued photo ID (driver's license or passport) and take a real-time selfie. Stripe Identity, our identity-verification partner, matches the ID to the selfie and screens for common fraud signals. Biometric data is retained per BIPA / CUBI / WA / OR rules and destroyed within three years of your last interaction.
Document attestation
Renters attest to a valid driver's license. Hosts attest to current vehicle registration and valid commercial RV insurance, and complete Stripe Connect KYC. PickRV does NOT run a criminal-history or sex-offender-registry background check on hosts or renters; this is disclosed so renters can make informed decisions and supplement with their own due diligence.
Approved listing
After Stripe Identity ID + document attestations + Stripe Connect KYC pass, the host's listings appear in the directory. PickRV does NOT perform mechanical inspection of vehicles. Hosts attest to roadworthiness and to maintaining safety systems; renters are encouraged to inspect the rig at pickup and photograph any pre-existing damage.
Zero tolerance for fraud. Accounts that fail verification or are found to use forged documents are permanently banned and reported to the appropriate authorities.

Vehicles that fail any critical inspection point are delisted until the issue is resolved. Hosts must re-certify annually or after any reported incident.
Insurance: your call, agreed before pickup
PickRV does not sell coverage and is not an insurer. Your trip runs on the coverage you and the host agree on — your own personal auto / RV policy where it covers rental use, or the host's own commercial policy.

Emergency Protocols
What happens when something goes wrong — and how we respond.
Email support channel
Email support@pickrv.com. We do not currently operate a 24/7 phone hotline. For life-threatening emergencies always call 911 first; for vehicle-recovery coordination email us and we will respond as quickly as possible.
Roadside assistance
If the host's commercial policy includes roadside coverage, the activation number is printed in your booking confirmation. PickRV does not maintain its own roadside network.
Medical emergency
Always call 911 first. After everyone is safe, email support@pickrv.com so we can coordinate with the host on vehicle recovery and adjust trip logistics.
Accident reporting
Ensure everyone is safe, call 911 if needed, file a police report, then email support@pickrv.com with photos, police report number, and witness info. Carrier claims are filed directly with the carrier; PickRV will help coordinate.
Fair Dispute Resolution
When disagreements happen, our structured process ensures a fair outcome.
Evidence Collection
Both parties submit timestamped photos, receipts, and written statements through the Resolution Center within 72 hours of trip end.
Independent Review
A dedicated Trust & Safety specialist reviews all evidence. For damage claims over $500, we bring in an independent third-party assessor.
Both Sides Heard
Each party has the opportunity to respond to the other's claims. We never make a decision based on one-sided evidence.
Resolution & Payout
Decisions are rendered within 14 days for service disputes and 30 days for damage claims. Payouts are processed within 5 business days of resolution.
Host Safety Standards
Host Verification
- Government ID + selfie verification (Stripe Identity)

- Host attestation: ownership or authorized agency for the listed vehicle
- Host attestation: valid commercial RV rental insurance on file
- Host attestation: clean title (no salvage / flood history)
Ongoing Compliance
- Annual vehicle re-inspection required
- Insurance renewal verification every 12 months
- Minimum 4.0 star rating to remain listed
- 80%+ booking acceptance rate required
- Immediate suspension for safety violations
