Each fall, coho and Chinook fight their way up the Sol Duc River, and at Salmon Cascades you can watch them launch themselves clear of the white water — one of the Northwest's great wildlife moments, right off a short trail. The Sol Duc Hot Springs Campground keeps the rig on the river, with a soak waiting after a cool day of watching.
