Watchman Campground sits at the south entrance of Zion National Park, beneath the towering Watchman peak. It's the park's most accessible campground with year-round availability and electric hookups on select sites.
What to Expect: Sites along the Virgin River are the most coveted, offering shade and the soothing sound of flowing water. The campground is a short walk from Springdale, where restaurants, shops, and outfitters line the main street.
Shuttle Access: The Zion Canyon shuttle stops at the campground, providing car-free access to all major trailheads including Angels Landing, The Narrows, and Emerald Pools.
Amenities
Best Time to Visit
Book 6 months ahead. Riverside electric sites (loops A and B) are the best.
Planning notes
Walk to Springdale for dinner — the Thai place and the brewery are both amazing.
Your next step
Getting to Watchman Campground.
This site takes rigs up to 40 ft, which is a question about the vehicle rather than the pad. The nearest pickup point for a rented one is St. George.
Tell us when you want to drive Utah.
Nothing in Utah is bookable today. Dated requests are what we take to owners, so give us the window you actually want — you get one email the day a rig covers it, and nothing else.
