Mazama Campground is the main campground in Crater Lake National Park, located 7 miles south of the lake. Crater Lake is the deepest lake in the US (1,943 feet) and its brilliant blue color is unlike anything else in the world.
The Lake: The 33-mile Rim Drive circles the lake with dozens of viewpoints. The boat tour to Wizard Island is the park's signature experience. Cleetwood Cove Trail (2.2 miles round trip) is the only legal access to the lake shore.
For RVers: The campground can accommodate RVs up to 50 feet, making it one of the more RV-friendly national park campgrounds.

Best Time to Visit
Book at Recreation.gov. Some sites are first-come, first-served. Weekday arrivals are easier.
Planning notes
Drive the Rim Road at sunrise. The lake color shifts from deep indigo to brilliant blue as the sun rises.
Your next step
Getting to Mazama Campground.
This site takes rigs up to 50 ft, which is a question about the vehicle rather than the pad. The nearest pickup point for a rented one is Bend.
Tell us when you want to drive Oregon.
Nothing in Oregon is bookable today. Dated requests are what we take to owners, so give us the window you actually want — you get one email the day a rig covers it, and nothing else.
