Traverse City Cherry Blossoms (Old Mission Peninsula)
Traverse City is the Cherry Capital of the World, and in spring its Old Mission Peninsula orchards erupt in white-and-pink blossoms above the blue water of Grand Traverse Bay. The classic way to see them is a self-guided drive up M-37 (Center Road), which runs the length of the peninsula past vineyards and ridgetop orchards. This is a true RV destination: you can base at the state park on the bay just east of downtown and tour the blooming farm country by day. The blossoms are a working-agriculture spectacle, not a manicured garden.
Bloom window
Blooms typically appear around mid-May (varies by weather and location); region-wide staggered blooming can stretch viewing to roughly one to two weeks

Plan it honestly
Peak bloom is weather-driven and never guaranteed on a set date; blossoms typically appear around mid-May but timing varies, with some areas blooming earlier than others. Individual trees hold blossoms only about four to five days, though staggered blooming across the region can stretch viewing to one or two weeks. Crucially, the orchards are private farms: view respectfully from the roadside and do not trespass.
