How PickRV earns.
In plain English. With the numbers.
PickRV is a multi-vendor RV rental marketplace. Hosts set the base price they want to receive. We charge a flat 15% commission built into the listed price (one published rate — versus 20-25% at Outdoorsy and RVshare). Renters pay a transparent 10% service fee shown at checkout — the listed nightly rate is stable and all-in, no drip pricing. There's no paid ranking, no paid badges, no surprise renewals.

10%
Renter service fee
Shown transparently at checkout. The listed nightly rate is stable and all-in — no drip pricing.
~3%
Payment processing
Stripe's rate — PickRV pays it out of its own side. It never appears as a line on your checkout.
Bring your own coverage
Coverage
PickRV does not sell or offer coverage and is not an insurer — renters bring their own; hosts may carry their own commercial policy.
What a night costs.
Example: an owner sets their rig at $200 a night. Here is the whole stack, drawn to scale.
- The owner's base price — the nightly rate they set$200
- PickRV's flat 15% host commission, built into the listed price+$30
- Your 10% service fee, itemized at checkout+$23
Every rig is listed by its local owner. Your exact total — rental, service fee, and taxes — is itemized before you pay.

The 5 rules that keep the model honest
One published markup rate
PickRV adds a flat 15% markup on top of the base price the host sets, built into the listed price. No surprise renewals, no escalating tiers, no "promotional" rate that resets after 90 days.
No paid badges, ever
Verified Host, Top Host, Superhost — every badge is earned on published criteria. You can not pay PickRV to get a badge. Not now, not after launch, not as a sponsorship.
No paid ranking
Search results rank by integrity score (response time, completion rate, real reviews, location relevance) — not by ad spend. There is no auction layer.
PickRV is not an insurer
PickRV does not sell coverage or publish a rate card. If a licensed insurance partner is contracted in the future, carrier-quoted pricing would be disclosed before purchase.
No drip pricing for renters
The listed nightly rate is stable and all-in. A transparent 10% service fee, taxes, and any optional add-ons are shown openly and itemized at checkout before you pay — nothing is revealed between booking and payment.
Cancellation defaults moderate
Every listing carries the same floor: a full refund when you cancel at least 48 hours before pickup. Hosts can offer terms that are more generous than the floor, never stricter, and whatever they offer is shown before checkout. No hidden penalty windows.
Required disclosures
Marketplace status. PickRV is a marketplace platform connecting renters with vetted hosts. PickRV is not a party to the rental transaction, does not own or operate vehicles listed, and does not provide transportation services.
