Highway 89 through the park (the Lassen Park Highway) sits at 8,500 ft at the summit and snowpack closes the south section until June most years. Manzanita Lake Campground (north entrance) accepts rigs up to 35 ft, runs late May through mid-October, dry-camp with a dump station. Summit Lake (north and south loops) holds 30-ft rigs. Butte Lake on the park's east side is similar but smaller. Generators are restricted to daylight hours in all loops. The campground roads handle their stated caps but pull-throughs are limited.
