Yellowstone National Park · caps RVs at 40 ft
Yellowstone's only full-hookup loop holds 310 sites for a 4-month window and books out fast — bring the rig, book Fishing Bridge the morning the window opens, and stage every other loop as a dry-camp backup.

Late May – early October (Fishing Bridge full-hookup only)
Fishing Bridge RV Park is the only Yellowstone campground built for full-hookup rigs, and that single fact reshapes every booking decision in the park. The 310-site concessioner loop runs late May through early October, accepts trailers and motorhomes up to 40 feet, and routinely fills its summer reservation calendar within minutes of the six-month rolling window opening on recreation.gov. The park's other developed campgrounds — Bridge Bay, Madison, Canyon, Grant Village — are dry-camping loops with shorter length caps and no power. Sewage dumping is centralized at Fishing Bridge and Canyon. The Grand Loop Road's switchback geometry around Tower Junction and Dunraven Pass is the practical ceiling on rig length once you leave the campground: technically you may be permitted, but the road grade and turn radius will define the experience.
