Acadia National Park · caps RVs at 35 ft

Maine's only national park runs its RV season around the Gulf of Maine's marine layer, not the summer calendar. Blackwoods Campground (south of Bar Harbor) and Seawall Campground (Southwest Harbor) both cap rigs at 35 feet, both run dry-only loops, and both pack in by Memorial Day weekend the same year their reservation window opens. Schoodic Woods on the mainland Schoodic Peninsula is the quieter alternative and the only NPS-operated Acadia loop with electric hookups (sites up to 35 ft). Fog is the operating weather, not the exception — July averages 13 fog days per month per NOAA station ASOS BHB, which compresses the dependable Cadillac Mountain sunrise window into mid-September through early October. Park Loop Road's two-way section accommodates rigs up to 30 ft comfortably; the one-way section is fine at any length.
