Two rims, two completely different RV calendars. South Rim's Mather Campground keeps a dry-camp loop open year-round and Trailer Village's concessioner section runs continuous full-hookup operation, including the shoulder months that empty the rest of the park's lodging. North Rim closes its developed campground in mid-October and doesn't reopen until May, a function of elevation (8,200 ft) more than visitation. Trailer Village accepts rigs up to 50 feet — the most generous cap of any rim-side RV facility — and is the only stop inside the park boundary with sewer hookups; everyone else routes to the dump station at Camper Services. The South Entrance Road from Tusayan handles the largest rigs without geometry issues; Desert View Drive's switchbacks east of the village test cornering over 35 ft.
