Saguaro is structured as a day-use park split across two districts — Tucson Mountain (west) and Rincon Mountain (east) — with the city of Tucson dropped between them. No developed campground exists in either district; backcountry tent camping is permitted only in the Rincon wilderness, 6+ miles in from the trailhead. Every RV trip here stages at Catalina State Park (32 sites with hookups, north of Tucson), Gilbert Ray Campground (Pima County, adjacent to the west district), or the Tucson-area private RV parks. Scenic drives in both districts (Bajada Loop in the west, Cactus Forest in the east) accept RVs of any length but pullouts cap shorter. Summer afternoons run 105-115°F May through September; the operational visiting window is October through April.
