Oregon Inlet Fishing Center

Oregon Inlet Fishing Center is the NPS-concessionaire marina at the south end of the Bonner Bridge — 92 seasonal slips, a 4-lane public boat ramp, and the only fuel dock between Wanchese and Hatteras Village with diesel year-round. The inlet itself is the operating constraint: Oregon Inlet shoaling has closed the channel to outbound sportfishers more than once per decade and the USCG publishes a daily controlling-depth bulletin that ranges from 8 ft (closed-channel emergency) to 14 ft (post-dredge nominal). The NPS Oregon Inlet Campground sits 1.2 miles north of the marina with 120 sites at 50-amp electric and a 45-ft rig cap — the only Cape Hatteras National Seashore campground with electric hookups. Reserve through recreation.gov 6 months out; oceanfront sites book out for July within hours. The marina's transient slips run April through November; off-season the basin closes for ice and storm prep.
