Tahoe City Marina

Tahoe City Marina has 188 wet slips on Tahoe's north shore at the lake's outlet to the Truckee River — the only public-access marina between Carnelian Bay and Sunnyside on the California side. The marina holds zero public boat ramps; trailerable launches happen 1.5 miles south at the USFS Lake Forest ramp (3 lanes, $20 day-use fee, no RV parking). The marina's slip wait list runs 6–8 years for an annual slip per the operator's published 2024 disclosure, and transient slips are first-come on summer weekends with no reservations accepted. The marina's published vessel-length cap is 50 ft on the outer breakwater finger pier; inner slips cap at 28 ft. William Kent Campground (USFS, 35-ft rig cap, dry only) is the closest RV-friendly basecamp two miles south on CA-89 — the marina's own parking lot prohibits oversize vehicles outright.
