What an overlander actually needs verified before booking
Overlanding is the rental category where a wrong-spec rig becomes a dangerous rig, not just a disappointing one. A vehicle without a proper recovery point, without low-range gearing, or with road-only tires on a BLM dispersed road becomes a recovery call to a rancher at midnight. PickRV's overlander hub catalogues clearance numbers, approach and departure angles, recovery-point presence, spare-tire mount type, fuel range with the actual rated tank, and whether the front and rear lockers are factory or aftermarket — all from the host's own publication, not from a marketing brochure.
We do not publish trail ratings as a single number that pretends to summarize everything. A rig that is great for Hole-in-the-Rock Road can be wrong for the White Rim because of wheelbase. We publish the specs and let you do the match — and we link the trail authorities (BLM, USFS, NPS) so the rules underneath the rating come from the actual managing agency.
