Two-thirds of St. John in the US Virgin Islands is Virgin Islands National Park, but no RV infrastructure exists — the island's road network is narrow, mountainous, left-hand drive, and the concessioner-operated overnight accommodation at Cinnamon Bay is cottage and tent-only. RVers do not bring rigs here; the territory is reached only by air (Cyril E. King Airport in St. Thomas) plus the ferry from Red Hook to Cruz Bay. Lodging is concessioner-managed cottages, the privately operated Maho Crossroads property, or off-park hotels on St. John and St. Thomas. The park's beaches (Trunk Bay, Cinnamon Bay, Hawksnest) are the canonical attractions; Reef Bay Trail is the longest in-park hike at 5 miles round-trip.
