Montana has NO general sales tax, and its 4% rental-vehicle tax (MCA § 15-68-102) covers cars, vans and light trucks only — the Montana DOR expressly EXCLUDES motor homes and travel trailers, so RV rentals are untaxed and PickRV collects $0. Drivable camper vans built on a ≤1-ton van/truck chassis may fall under the 4% RVT depending on how the unit is titled — under legal review before any such Montana listing goes live.
