The Eleven Point Ranger District anchors the southeast corner along the federally-designated Wild and Scenic Eleven Point River; Greer Crossing Campground here holds 32-ft rigs dry-camp with on-site dump and the most consistent year-round operation. Float-trip put-ins along the Current and Jacks Fork (technically inside the adjacent Ozark NSR but accessed via the Mark Twain road grid) drive summer demand. Dispersed camping is allowed extensively under the Mark Twain MVUM — popular spots cluster along FSR 3147 in Bell Mountain Wilderness's flanks. Black bear population is rebuilding; food storage now enforced at Greer Crossing after 2022 incidents.
