Avoid this trap

Crossing the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge during a Condition Yellow wind advisory (sustained 30 mph). The bridge stays technically open, but Charleston County advisories specifically warn motor homes, box trucks, and trailers off the high-span — and a semi has already overturned on it during a storm.

Beyond the obvious rollover risk, SCDOT incident-response tow of an overturned Class A motorhome from a high-span bridge runs $1,800-$4,000 plus deck damage, traffic-citation liability, and an at-fault insurance claim that can spike RV premiums 25-40% the next year.
