Dozens of forest roads off Lake Mary Road, Highway 89, and Schultz Pass offer dispersed camping among tall pines. Perfect base for visiting Grand Canyon (80 miles), Sedona (30 miles), and Walnut Canyon.

Lake Mary Road south of town has the most popular dispersed sites. Arrive by Thursday for weekend spots.
Flagstaff is at 7,000 feet — nights are cool even in summer (40-50°F). Bring warm layers.
Fire restrictions are strictly enforced May-September. Check before any open flame use.
Excellent base camp for day trips to Grand Canyon, Sedona, Meteor Crater, and Wupatki.
