If born on or after Sep 1, 1993, yes — TPWD-approved course required. Out-of-state cards from NASBLA-recognized states are honored.
Can I bring beer on a rental pontoon?
Adult passengers can — operator BAC limit is 0.08, same as driving. TPWD wildlife officers actively enforce BWI (Boating While Intoxicated) on Lake Travis.
