Warren Dunes State Park spreads across 1,500 acres along the Lake Michigan shore in Berrien County, southwest Michigan, an easy reach from Chicago. Its signature feature is Tower Hill, a dune rising about 240 feet above the lake, backed by three miles of beach and six miles of hiking trails. Managed by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, the park has two campgrounds and is one of the most popular dune destinations in southern Michigan for an RV getaway.

On the ground
Tower Hill is the centerpiece: a towering dune that looks out over the wide Lake Michigan beach below. Beyond the open sand, the park's trails climb into wooded back-dunes, giving a quieter counterpoint to the busy shoreline.
Summer is peak season, when the broad beach fills with swimmers and the campgrounds book up; spring and fall offer cooler, calmer visits with fine light along the dunes. The park's proximity to Chicago makes it a reliable weekend draw.
Confirm current campground availability, rig-length limits, and any required passes on the Michigan DNR site before you plan your trip to the lakeshore.
