MerleFest 2027 — 40th anniversary Americana + bluegrass weekend in the Blue Ridge foothills. Class A · Class B · Class C — rent the rig you drive.
On-site Lakeside Camping carries full hookups and is usually gone by January, which makes it a fall decision rather than a spring one. Ten miles west on W. Kerr Scott Reservoir the Corps of Engineers runs Bandits Roost and Warrior Creek with full hookups, bookable six months out through Recreation.gov.
Stone Mountain State Park is about twenty-five miles west with electric only, and Doughton Park on the Blue Ridge Parkway is forty-five miles northwest with none. One routing rule before you send a Class A up the Parkway: it holds a twenty-five-mile-per-hour limit and most of its tunnels exclude vehicles over thirty feet, so check the Park Service clearance map first.
