Saguaro NP East Cactus Forest Loop has a strict 8 ft wide / 35 ft long vehicle cap due to corner sweep — Class A drivers over 35 ft must use the visitor center lot. Saguaro NP West Bajada Loop is dirt-graded one-way with mile-marker turnouts limited to 30-ft sites.
The closest serious campground options are Catalina State Park (10 mi N, full hookup loops) and Gilbert Ray Campground (Tucson Mountain Park, 15 mi W, dry-camp). Avoid this trap
Driving Mt Lemmon Highway (General Hitchcock Hwy) above Windy Point in a Class A over 30 ft — the switchbacks tighten beyond Hoodoo Vista and there is no turnaround until Summerhaven.
Recovery towing from Mt Lemmon switchbacks runs $1,800-$3,500. Most rental contracts exclude towing in posted-advisory mountain roads.
