Vehicles and/or trailers are limited to no more than 23 feet total length on Goosenecks Road, Grand Wash Road, Capitol Gorge Road, and Pleasant Creek/South Draw Road in Capitol Reef National Park. The park's stated reason is that these roads are very narrow with almost no space to turn around.

What this means for you: Grand Wash and Capitol Gorge are the two spur roads off the Scenic Drive that everybody drives. At 24 feet you are legally excluded and physically stuck — there is no turnaround at the end.
Overnight vehicle parking inside the park is allowed only for holders of backcountry permits — and then only for the period specified on the permit — and for users staying in established campgrounds.
