That single rule shapes how arrivals work here: if you fly into SLC, pick up at one of the airport-adjacent rental yards north of I-80, and plan to overnight on a public street, you have a hard window before enforcement runs the block.

Most RV traffic threads a tight path between three pressure points: the Wasatch Front corridor (I-15 from Lehi up to Bountiful), the Great Salt Lake causeway out to Antelope Island, and the ski-resort canyons (Big and Little Cottonwood, Parley's to Park City). Winter inversion is the second variable.

Motor homes, boats, and trailers may not be parked on any city street for more than 48 consecutive hours. Moving to another spot on the same block face within 24 hours is treated as continuous parking.

Repositioning your rig one block-face down the same street to 'reset' the 48-hour parking limit. SLC Code §12.56.525 explicitly defines block-face continuity and Compliance Officers use parking-management software that tracks plates across moves within 24 hours.

Tow + impound runs $235-340 (private tow + storage day-1) plus the §12.56.525 citation (~$60). Repeat offenders within a calendar year get the lien escalated.
