Steamboat Springs Revised Municipal Code Sec. 10-102 (Use of vehicle as residence when parked in public place)
No one may occupy a vehicle on a public way or place if any purpose of that occupation is using the vehicle as a permanent or temporary residence — but sleeping overnight in a parked vehicle for a single 24-hour period is expressly declared NOT to be use as a temporary residence.
No person shall occupy a vehicle upon any public way or place, if any of the purposes for such occupation is the use of the vehicle as a permanent or temporary residence. Sleeping overnight in a vehicle during one 24-hour period when such vehicle is parked shall not constitute use of the vehicle as a temporary residence.

Steamboat Springs Revised Municipal Code Sec. 23-2(a) (Offstreet parking to be provided during certain months)
From November 1 through April 30, every property owner in the city must provide and maintain off-street parking for any vehicle belonging to anyone occupying a bed or room in the structure — permanently or temporarily. The stated purpose is snow removal. In ski season the legal duty to find you a spot lands on your host, not on you. When booking a Steamboat stay between November and April, confirm the property has off-street space that actually fits the rig — the city expects it to exist.
