Camping is prohibited anywhere — including the shoreline — within the Wahweap, Stateline, Antelope Point, Horseshoe Bend, Dangling Rope, Bullfrog, Halls Crossing, Hite and Lees Ferry developed areas, excluding the designated campgrounds within them. Camping is also prohibited within 100 feet of any paved road or campground access road, and within 300 feet of any structure, launch ramp or airstrip.

What this means for you: The Wahweap developed area is where the marina, the ramps and the views are — and it is exactly where dispersed overnighting is banned. You need a site in a designated campground, not a quiet corner of the parking area. Violations carry criminal penalties under 36 CFR 1.3.
Wahweap Campground allows a maximum of 2 vehicles per site, counting camper trailers and boats, with a maximum of 8 people and 2 tents per individual site. All vehicles and trailers at Wahweap and Bullfrog must be parked on pavement within the site, and tents must be on the facility pads.

What this means for you: A motorhome towing a boat already uses both of your two vehicle slots at Wahweap — there is no room for a chase car. Everything has to fit on the pavement inside the site, so measure before you book.
