Fish Creek Campground is located on the shore of Lake McDonald, the largest lake in Glacier National Park. With towering cedars and hemlocks providing deep shade, the campground offers a true wilderness experience.
Lake McDonald: The famously clear lake with colorful rocks is right at the campground. Kayaking, fishing, and swimming are popular. The Going-to-the-Sun Road starts from nearby Lake McDonald Lodge.
Going-to-the-Sun Road: This 50-mile engineering marvel crosses the Continental Divide at Logan Pass (6,646 feet). Vehicle size is restricted — RVs over 21 feet cannot drive the full road.
