Dockweiler Beach RV Park is one of the only beachfront RV parks in Los Angeles, offering direct access to 3.7 miles of sandy shoreline. Located in Playa del Rey, just south of LAX, it puts you on the sand without leaving the city.
What to Expect: The surf runs all night, and the sun sets over the Pacific right in front of the park. The park sits right on the sand, with many sites offering direct ocean views. Fire pits on the beach are available for bonfires — one of the few LA beaches that still allows them.
Facilities: Full hookups (water, electric 30/50 amp, sewer), modern restrooms with showers, laundry facilities, and a small camp store. WiFi is available but can be spotty during peak times.
Nearby Activities: Venice Beach Boardwalk (10 min drive), Santa Monica Pier (15 min), Manhattan Beach (10 min south), LAX Observation Deck, The Strand bike path runs right past the park.
Tips for RVers: Planes from LAX fly directly overhead — it's part of the experience! Bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper. Sites on the ocean side are premium and book fast. The bike path is perfect for morning rides to Manhattan Beach.
