On the Canadian border, Voyageurs is a certified International Dark Sky Park — big water, big silence, and some of the darkest skies in the lower 48. When the geomagnetic activity cooperates in winter, the aurora reflects off the frozen lakes. Much of the park is water-access, so RVers base nearby at Woodenfrog in the state forest.
