Trip planner · 2026
Plan a multi-stop RV trip — honestly.
Pick a rig, drop up to five stops, and see the driving distance, fuel, nights and pack list before you book anything.
Build your trip
Plan a multi-stop RV trip in 3 minutes. Pick your rig category, add up to 5 stops between origin and destination, and watch the planner estimate driving distance, fuel cost, lodging nights, and a starting pack list. Every number is an estimate from public-source averages — not a checkout quote.
Vehicle
Speed and MPG seed the estimate — override either below. Inventory varies by state; estimates assume a typical rig in this class.

Rough estimate: straight-line distance only — real road miles are usually 15-35% longer, plus traffic, elevation, and stops. PickRV does not verify your inputs. No marketplace fee figures are included on this page — see /pricing.

Estimates only. Driving distance defaults to straight-line haversine until you supply stop coordinates that resolve through routing. Costs use public-source averages. The authoritative price for any rig comes from its listing checkout. Your draft saves to this device — nothing is sent until you save the trip to your account.
Which rig category fits your trip?
Class A motorhome
Fits Full-hookup parks + interstates
Avoid Tight NP loops (Glacier Going-to-the-Sun: 21 ft max). Forest service roads.
Class B (camper van)
Fits Every NP, urban overnights, boondock pull-offs
Avoid Families >2 + dog. Multi-week stays with full kitchen needs.
Class C bunkhouse
Fits Family of 4-6, most NP loops (check >24 ft limits)
Avoid Rocky 4x4 trails. Tight downtown parking lots.
Travel trailer / 5th wheel
Fits Long stays, in-park hookup sites, base-camp style trips
Avoid Multi-stop daily moves. First-time renters (towing learning curve).
Need a tighter check? Use the dedicated Fit & Clearance tool — paste rig height + park road limits and get a pass/warn/fail verdict per constraint.
FAQ
Is the distance the actual driving route?+
Not yet. The planner ships a haversine straight-line estimate by default, and best-effort OpenRouteService routing when stops have coordinates. Treat the miles as a planning floor — real driving distance is typically 10-30% longer on winding NP/scenic byway corridors.
Why is the cost only an estimate?+
We don't know your final rig (host pricing varies), your fuel price at trip time, or which sites you'll book. The number is a planning total using national-average MPG + EIA fuel + NPS/state DPR campground averages. The authoritative cost is the quote at the listing checkout.
Does PickRV save my plan?+
The draft is saved to YOUR browser via localStorage under a single key (pikrv_trip_builder_draft). Nothing is sent to our servers until you sign in and explicitly save the trip to your account.
