Grand Teton National Park in northwest Wyoming rises abruptly from the valley floor of Jackson Hole, with the Teton Range reflected in lakes and the winding Snake River below. There is no foothill buffer — the peaks jump straight up — which is what makes the classic river-bend view of the range so striking. It is a popular RV destination just south of Yellowstone.

The Snake River Overlook — made famous by Ansel Adams — frames the river bending below the full sweep of the range, and is one of several pullouts along the park roads.
