Arriving in Lawrence, KS with a rented RV

No motorised self-propelled camper, non-motorised travel trailer, or boat or canoe on a trailer may be parked on a public street in Lawrence for more than 48 hours. When parked it must be at least 100 feet from the curblines of an intersecting street and must not obscure any driver's view of approaching traffic. A non-motorised travel trailer may not be left unattached when parked on a public street.

No camper, travel trailer, recreational vehicle or any vehicle exceeding 8 feet in width, 20 feet in length or 8 feet in height may be parked at any time on Massachusetts Street from 11th Street to South Park Street, on South Park Street from Vermont Street to New Hampshire Street, or on Vermont Street from South Park Street to 11th Street, except while actively loading, unloading or performing a service on abutting property.

It is unlawful to park any vehicle exceeding 8 feet in width, 20 feet in length or 8 feet in height on any street in any residence district in Lawrence for more than two hours, except while actively loading, unloading or performing a service on abutting property. A right-of-way permit can extend this, but only for a maximum of seven consecutive days, only with adjoining owners' consent, and only twice in any 12 months.
