It is unlawful to park or leave standing any vehicle for longer than six hours on any street, alley, highway or other public place in Indianapolis, other than with the written consent of the owner or tenant of the abutting property.

What this means for you: Six hours is the citywide ceiling for any vehicle, RV included — so an overnight stop on an Indianapolis street is out even where nothing is posted. The written-consent exception is real but has to come from the abutting owner or tenant, so get it in writing from your host.
A parked recreational vehicle in Indianapolis may not be occupied or used for living, sleeping or housekeeping purposes for more than one instance, not to exceed 15 days, per calendar year.

What this means for you: Even on private property with the owner's blessing, sleeping in the rig is capped at one stay of up to 15 days a year. This governs the host's lot, so a long Indianapolis stay in someone's driveway is not lawful.
A recreational vehicle parked outdoors on a lot in Indianapolis may not project into any required side or rear yard, may not be parked in the front yard other than on the hard-surfaced driveway or interior access drive, and may not be parked in a side yard other than on a durable dust-free surface of brick, concrete, asphalt or gravel.

What this means for you: Grass parking is out. If your host's driveway is short, the rig has to be on gravel or pavement in a side yard, not on the lawn.
