Durango Code of Ordinances Sec. 17-65 (Occupancy of certain motor vehicles in public rights-of-way)
It is unlawful to occupy a camper trailer, camper coach, motor home, trailer coach or recreational vehicle for the purposes of camping or sleeping while the vehicle is located in any street, public right-of-way, or city-owned or city-managed parking lot in Durango.
It shall be unlawful for any person to occupy any boat, camper trailer, camper coach, motor home, trailer coach, recreational vehicle, truck, commercial vehicle, or school bus as those terms are defined in the Model Traffic Code as adopted in the city, or vehicles which were formerly used for such purposes or that have been converted from such uses and other similar vehicles which are not designed or used primarily as personal passenger automobiles for the purposes of camping or sleeping while such vehicle is located in any street, public right-of-way or city owned or managed parking lot within the city.

Within any municipal parking lot it is separately unlawful to camp overnight or to park a recreational vehicle overnight, and commercial vehicles with a carrying capacity over one ton are banned from municipal lots entirely.
