Renting an RV in Dubuque: what to know before pickup
Dubuque has its own arrival logistics. The first night usually means Mines of Spain State Recreation Area, and tanks empty for free at Mines of Spain SRA. One street-parking ordinance applies to RVs here — cited in full in the arrival guide.
Street parking reality
If you are towing a travel trailer, it must stay hitched on any Dubuque street. Dropping it at the curb to go explore in the tow vehicle is exactly what this section forbids, and the loading window is four hours.
