Can I do Yosemite + Sequoia + Tahoe in one RV trip?
Yes. Plan 10-14 days for an unhurried circuit. Suggested order: Yosemite (entry via 120 or 41) → Sequoia/Kings Canyon (south to north) → Mammoth Lakes (US-395) → Lake Tahoe (CA-89). Reserve campgrounds at each park 6 months in advance. Yosemite specifically requires timed-entry reservation in season.
- 10-14 days for the full circuit
- Yosemite + Sequoia + Tahoe + Mammoth
- Reservations 6 months out
- Yosemite timed-entry
- Best May-October
Sierra route logistics
Yosemite to Sequoia: about 4 hours via CA-41 + CA-99 + CA-180. Through CA-49 longer + more scenic but RV-tighter.
Sequoia to Mammoth: via US-395 over Tioga Pass (in season) or via CA-178 + US-395 (year-round but longer).
Mammoth to Tahoe: US-395 + US-50.
Tahoe back to start: I-80 west.
What Visit California + Sierra tourism doesn't tell you
Regional travel guides typically focus on individual destinations. PickRV's regional guides focus on the multi-day RV-route reality — how to connect destinations efficiently, where to camp at intervals, what fuel + supply discipline matters.
Tahoe in particular has dense RV camping. Multiple state-park, NF, and private RV options.
