Kerrville to Luckenbach: small back-roads via TX-783 and county roads.

Return to Austin via US-290.

Texas tourism markets Hill Country wine country prominently. For RV travelers, the underdiscussed part is the campground reality. Multiple state parks (Pedernales Falls, Inks Lake, Garner) offer RV camping in the area. Most book up 3-6 months out for season.
What's also undercovered: the LBJ Ranch (NPS unit at Johnson City) is genuinely one of the best presidential history sites in the US. Two-hour visit is a meaningful add to any Hill Country trip.
