How does the Enchanted Circle compare to High Road to Taos?
Different routes serving different purposes. High Road to Taos is the Santa Fe-to-Taos approach (one-way, 85 miles). Enchanted Circle is a Taos-based loop circling Wheeler Peak (84 miles, returns to start). Many RV travelers do both — High Road in, Enchanted Circle around, Low Road or High Road back. The Vietnam Veterans Memorial at Angel Fire is a moving stop. Free, accessible to RV travelers, worth the brief detour.
