When can you visit Heceta Head Lighthouse?
Heceta Head Lighthouse is open to visitors on the first floor — roughly 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the warmer months (March through October) and shorter hours in winter, weather and staffing permitting. It is managed by Oregon State Parks; confirm current hours before you go.

Heceta Head is a signature image of the Oregon coast: a white tower against a green headland, with surf breaking on the rocks far below. The light was first illuminated in 1894 and remains an active aid to navigation.
A short trail leads from the day-use area up to the lighthouse, passing the historic keeper's house along the way. The viewpoint and beach below are popular for photography, tide pooling, and winter storm watching.
Hours for the lighthouse first floor are seasonal and weather-dependent, so confirm the current schedule with Oregon State Parks. The surrounding stretch of Highway 101 between Florence and Yachats is one of the most scenic RV drives on the coast.
