Arriving in Westerly, RI with a rented RV

Westerly Code Chapter 248 prohibits on-street RV overnighting and Watch Hill Village (technically inside Westerly) has additional posted seasonal restrictions on Bay Street and Bluff Avenue. The Burlingame option is the realistic base — RI's largest campground with 700+ sites, freshwater lake setting, walking distance to the Atlantic at East Beach.

Across the Pawcatuck in Stonington CT, a renter has CT DEEP options (Rocky Neck SP, 20 mi east) and Mystic Seaport access — but cross-state transit reset propane refill and dump scheduling. Propane: AmeriGas Pawcatuck (1 mi west, technically CT) and Westerly Propane (3 mi north). Diesel: Cumberland Farms truck lane on Route 1 (Westerly). The Block Island Ferry alternative terminal is Quonset Point (35 mi north), not Galilee, for the year-round ferry. Best season is mid-June through mid-July and mid-September through October. Watch Hill becomes effectively a closed village July 4 week.
