No trailer — alone or attached to another vehicle — may be parked or left on any street or public highway in Newport for longer than two hours in any 24-hour period. Newport defines "trailer" for this section as any wheeled structure or vehicle used or capable of being used as living quarters, whether it moves under its own power or is towed.
No person shall park or leave a trailer, either alone or attached to another conveyance, on a street or public highway in the city for longer than two hours in any twenty-four (24) hour period.

Newport Code of Ordinances § 10.20.140 (Parking boat trailers)
No boat trailer of any size may be parked on a public highway in Newport, attached or unattached. Boat trailers must be parked only at the King Park parking lot, and users must first obtain a parking sticker — $25.00 for city residents, $100.00 seasonal for everyone else. If your trip tows a boat, the trailer has exactly one legal home in Newport — the King Park lot — and it needs a sticker bought in advance from the department of economic development. Signage and the designated season run May 1 through October 15.
