Parking ordinances that bite RVs
It is unlawful to leave in a Ruidoso park overnight any movable structure or special vehicle usable for camping — house trailer, camp trailer, camp wagon, recreational vehicle or the like — or to set up any temporary shelter for overnight camping. The only exception is a village-approved special event under a special events licence.

Midtown parking lots do allow overnight parking, but strictly capped at a 24-hour period, with overnight camping under Sec. 58-52 still restricted, and the Village reserves the right to tow at the owner's expense after 24 hours.
