Avoid this trap

Parking an RV overnight on a residential street inside any Portland Area Parking Permit Program zone (NW District, Hosford-Abernethy, Northwest). Visitors with RVs are NOT eligible for any zone permit, and the 4-hour daytime cap under 16.20.120 still applies on top of zone rules.

Citation under 16.20.205 plus tow under Portland Bureau of Transportation contract: tow fees typically $230-$300 plus $25-$60/day storage at the impound lot — well above the $40-50 a night a real campground costs.
